7th Annual Drive-Thru Rabies Clinic, April 29, 2017

April 29, 2017, Saturday, 10 am to 1 pm  Location: Giles Animal Rescue Thrift Shop and Adoption Center, 5502 Virginia Ave (Route 460), Pembroke, VA

The convenience of the Drive-Thru Clinic helps remove problems people night have with hauling pet carriers into a building, restraining one or more pets or juggling kids and pets during the work week. Veterinarian Dr. Marge Lewter and student volunteers from Virginia Tech will deliver the vaccine to the animal, moving from car to car. Dr. Lewter is again donating half the cost of the vaccine to Giles Animal Rescue. Did you know that if a rabid animal drooled on a bush in your yard, and you or your child with a slight scratch on your skin came into contact with that bush, or your lick-prone dog licked that bush, that is how easy it is to contract rabies! Better not to gamble when it comes to rabies  - cause rabies always wins.
